To prevent your drains from getting clogged in the first place, you can use natural (non-chemical) methods such as a homemade vinegar solution on a regular method. This is especially important for the extra bathroom, and seldom used plumbing.

You might want to try this:
• ½ cup baking soda with ¼ cup salt
• Pour the mixture down the drain, followed by 1 cup of heated vinegar, it will foam and bubble.
• Let it sit for 15 minutes
• Follow by running hot tap water for at least 30 seconds
